LBMCCC Skidpan Day (Event News)
By nscc - Published: September 24, 2011

The day begun at approximately 9:30am with a mix of cars and participants ranging from fully stripped out drift cars to family saloons as well as serious races to full families who attended to have fun and build upon their wet weather driving skills.

We had a strong attendance from NSCC  with Banzai in his lotus, Kevin in the mazda MX5, KLR18T in the Evo6 and JoshMC10000

The day flowed smoothly with an incredibly mixed range of driving styles as there was no particular dominant layout with the 4wd grip of the Evo's and WRX's to the sideways action of the rear wheel drives and the tight handbrake turns of the stripped out front wheel 4 cylinders.

Both Kevin and Banzai did a great job keeping tight and to the course layout whilst KLR18T (perhaps the DNA of the evo) could not resist the dry tarmac and gravel for some serious sideways action leading to the first and possibly only formal warning on the day.

All in all a very fun and friendly day. Read More...

Meguiars Tech Night (Club News)
By nscc - Published: September 1, 2011

Ok,so there we were, 11 of us standing in the Meguiars staff kitchen munching on corn chips, crackers and dips with soft drinks and juice to wash it down with. It was from here that we met Matt and Nathan our hosts for the night. On recieving our promotional bag we proceeded to the demonstration area where the volunteer vehicles belonging to  SBD and 200sxr were awaiting the assault of the numerous Meguiars products on display. With a cheeky sense of humour our host Matt ran through the various cleaning and polishing goodies on offer. Thankfully SBD's S15 was pretty dirty and served as a great example of the effectiveness of the Meguiars range of car care products.Matt and Nathan put on a good info night of how to polish your car and what to use to maintain the look.It ended up in the product shop where everyone took advantage of the 20% off the RRP on all items for the night with the lads all walking out bags full of great Meguiar car care. Thanks to Wayne for organising the night and Brett for allowing his car to be demo vehicle.
